Join Trillium Alpine Guides for a private day of backcountry skiing or riding and experience the beauty of this volcanic giant firsthand. As you climb through snow-laden old growth forests and break into the alpine, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of glacier-carved valleys and neighboring Cascade volcanoes.

What to Expect

Your day begins at 8 AM with a brief refresher on avalanche rescue equipment and a transceiver check before we start touring. Over the course of the day, we’ll typically climb and ski around 3,000 feet of vertical, returning to the trailhead around 3 PM.

All Mt. Hood tours are private, allowing us to tailor the pace, terrain, and objectives to your experience level, goals, and conditions on the mountain.
