


Level III: Advanced Alpine Climbing Program
Go further and higher with the Level III: Advanced Alpine Climbing Program.
This program will be offered four times beginning in July 2026, at a 2 students : 1 instructor ratio, with class sizes up to 6 students.
Members will have access to online learning videos, forum membership to ask us and other members questions.
This is an intensive program will run over the course of 4 days in the North Cascades:
1 field day climbing technical rock in our mountain boots at Mount Erie
3 field days in the Twin Sisters Range of North Cascades National Park, camping in the backcountry and climbing technical routes
One classroom session at our office in the Mountain Shop for all cohorts in the Advanced Alpine Program for folks to meet other like minded climbers.
Skills covered in this course will be:
Roped Glacier Travel Review
Climbing Alpine Rock
Alpine Belay Techniques and Efficiency
Descending Large Alpine Climbs
Participants in this course are recommended to have completed Level II: Intermediate Alpine Climbing.
The partner component of this course is Level III: Advanced Rock Climbing, which can be taken in sequence or parallel.
