Our Avalanche Rescue course is designed for everyone, from first-time backcountry users to experienced enthusiasts looking to refresh their rescue skills.
This one-day course is focused on using hands on practice with rescue practice with an avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel. We will run through a variety of scenarios such as multiple burial and multiple rescuer.
Prior experience with ski touring is recommended for this course but not required. For a comprehensive introduction to backcountry experience, you can pair this rescue with the Level I: Intro to Backcountry course. These two courses together will prepare you to safely adventure outside the ski resort for the first time!
