Brandon Seymore
Brandon grew up in Upstate New York. His love for steep snow started early, by volunteering to shovel off the steep roofs of the Victorian houses common in his hometown. He started Skiing at age 5 and wore a Buffalo Bills Starter Jacket with pride. An athlete his whole life, Brandon was introduced to climbing in his late teens and backcountry skiing in his early twenties. He was hooked.
After finishing a degree in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and an Outdoor Educators Semester at the National Outdoor Leadership School, he dove in completely, packing up his gear into his Dodge Durango and headed west. Brandon has lived in a variety of climbing and skiing destinations over his 20+ year career in the mountains, working as a guide, ski patroller and avalanche educator. He now lives in Seattle, WA, with his partner, Clarkia (like the flower).
Becoming an internationally certified Mountain Guide was a fulfilling process that took him climbing and skiing all over. Brandon cut his teeth guiding obscure and remote North Cascadian peaks throughout Northern Washington and now considers that home.
He is now a Professional Woodworker full time but continues to share his passion for snow and mountains throughout the year. If you’re looking for someone to show you the ropes, help you to become a more capable ski mountaineer or reach a summit that’s off the beaten path, Brandon can help.
